Acquisition & Mergers
I’ve supported a number of M&A projects across both share and asset purchases, most recently the acquisition of Taylor Engley, a well-established estate agency in Eastbourne.
Share purchases tend to bring added complexity, with increased legal, financial, and operational considerations. My role is to bring clarity through that process, from early-stage assessment through to integration and delivery.
I worked closely with the leadership team throughout the full lifecycle of the deal, supporting pre-completion discussions, sense-checking risk and valuation, planning for integration ahead of completion, and then working hands-on within the business post-completion.
With Taylor Engley, that meant aligning two established businesses into a clear and consistent way of operating, implementing practical systems, processes, and standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and day-to-day performance.
A year on from the acquisition, the business is firmly re-established as a market leader in its local area.
Alongside this, I supported the next phase of development, including a full rebrand, office refit, and relaunch, ensuring the business was positioned for long-term, sustainable growth.
I took a lead role in coordinating the integration, working across the business to ensure alignment, maintain momentum, and bring structure to what is often a complex and fast-moving process.
Throughout, I worked alongside the leadership team to provide clarity, support decision-making, and ensure clear communication across the business during a period of significant change.
Acquisitions don’t create value on their own, it’s what happens before and after that makes the difference.
